Richborough Power Station Update
Following the necessary permissions from the Local Authorities, DDS Demolition are pleased to confirm that we have commenced with the structural demolition of the remaining offices and ancillary buildings at Richborough Power Station.
Over the last few months, DDS have successfully liaised with stakeholders in the scheme to ensure the soft strip of the remaining buildings was completed in line with the pre-determined criteria given to us by our client. On the 8th August, structural demolition commenced, which will include demolition to slab level of the former offices and numerous ancillary facilities.
The current masterplan includes the controlled demolition of the chimney and cooling towers, planned for early 2012 for which all necessary applications have been submitted.
DDS Demolition successfully completed demolition of buildings at the site in January 2009 to facilitate the construction of the Thanet Offshore Wind project. Click here for more information on this.
