Each year at Christmas time, DDS has followed suit with the typical corporate tradition of “Thank you for your custom” wine and cake to our Clients.
As much as our Clients are worthy and deserving of our gratitude – and we cannot stress our appreciation enough – it occurred to us that, actually, there could be more deserving beneficiaries that could make better use of that money / the cost of this exercise.
DDS has opted this year to donate our usual “Christmas Wine and Cake” spend to Thanet Disabled Riding School and Porchlight, a charity for the homeless.
Thanet Disabled Riding School in Broadstairs was established over 30 years ago and is run pretty much entirely on the goodwill of volunteers. They are a registered Charity (no 1104103) with the sole aim of making horse-riding accessible and possible for people living with disabilities.
They have been desperately trying to raise further funds over the past year to keep the Charity going and DDS would like to support their cause. Should you wish to independently support their cause, please follow the link to their Go Fund Me page:https://www.gofundme.com/f/chris039s-campaign-for-thanet-disabled-riding-centre
Porchlight is Kent’s largest charity for homeless and vulnerable people. Their aim is to help prevent homelessness and support those already suffering. Each year, they support more than 7000 individuals and families. Porchlights vision is very humbling:
“We strive for a fairer society where vulnerable people find stability, the most excluded are included, and where homelessness and poverty are things of the past.”
DDS take great pride in donating to such a hard-working and worthy Charity. Should you wish to independently support their cause, please follow the link to their website:
DDS would like to express a huge thank you to all our incredibly valued Clients this year whilst donating £1500 to Thanet Disabled Riding School and £1000 to Porchlight.
