In our latest Blog Post, we consider; What is the importance of a like-minded workforce?
Lets face it, most of us need to work for a living, but would you rather spend 50 years hopping from employer to employer, building bridges, burning bridges and never feeling settled? Or would you prefer to become a part of something, build a credible foundation with an employer worthy of your expertise and who appreciates you?
You cannot easily fabricate a pleasant working environment, it has to be natural. These people, sat next to you in the open plan office, working boot to boot next to you on site – they become your family.
They make you smile and frustrate you in equal measure but – and here is the metaphorical golden egg – if they are like-minded and value their place of work, you are all working towards the same goal and for the same cause. They speak and act for the greater good of the company.
Generally speaking, an Employer would rather have a passionate employee (even if they disagree on occasion) than an indifferent employee.
Why? Because it shows that they care.
You cannot force or fake that.
A business is truly only as good as its employees, no one is a robot, we can all be trained but we can’t all be made to care – it’s innate.
It is a two-way street, the relationship between Employer and Employee. The same general life principles apply; treat people as you wish to be treated, respect each other, accept people all have their strengths and weaknesses.
We have many long-term colleagues here at DDS Demolition, some having been with us for nearly 30 years. We like to think this is testament to the like-minded mindset that reverberates through the entire company. We like to think we’re doing something right.
For all the posts that are client-related, and client-focused, lets remember that without a like-minded, professional workforce, the clients may not even exist.
