DDS’ courageous Contracts Manager

It is with pride in our hearts and a proud tear in our eye that we can announce DDS Demolitions very own ‘have a go hero’, Contracts Manager Michael Hennessy, was awarded a Silver Medal at the National Police Public Bravery Awards ceremony hosted in London last week.

The Silver Medal gives recognition to people who have gone above and beyond the call of duty.

Michael was given the accolade after assisting two off-duty police officers and another member of the public in apprehending a violent man who attacked the local shop keeper with a metal pole.

The original incident and Certificate of Merit was awarded to Michael by Kent Police in December 2016 (as mentioned on the DDS Demolition Facebook page) who then nominated Michael (Our Hero) for the National award.

Our Hero

Chief Superintendent Bishop said at the time of the Certificate of Merit: ‘Award ceremonies like these give us the opportunity to showcase the extraordinary achievements of our officers who have gone above and beyond the call of duty.

‘I would like to thank them all for their hard working in keeping the people of Kent safe.’

Very well done Michael, keep those Clark Kent glasses, underpants and cape at the ready – we never know when the good people of Kent may need your protection again!
